Stigmas

Isn't it interesting how many stigmas there are in life.

Isn't it sad we let ourselves get caught in some of these stigmas.

I've always taken pride in the fact that whenever I went to the Doctor, I could proudly say no to the question of "Taking any medications?"

It isn't the case any longer.

Blood pressure medication.

Yep. I'm now taking it.

If I didn't take it I could still answer 'the question' in the negative.

Why?

What will I be accomplishing by not taking the medicine... just so I can say "no" to 'the question'?

Silly pride.

Isn't it better to take prescribed medication so I can have fuller life?

High blood pressure can be a silent killer if left unattended.

There are lots of wonderful people and opportunities in my life.

I don't want to miss out.

Okay, I'll take it.

Regularly.

As prescribed.

It will be difficult, but it will be worth it.

Stigmas.

Who needs them?
